01The practice

Independent expertise for complex digital infrastructure decisions.

SDIF Advisory & Consulting provides specialized advisory, technical research and consulting services to organisations that need judgment — not a generic hours-based product.

The practice draws on the same work SDIF undertakes for its own account: operating within the Solana network, studying its economics and evaluating the infrastructure it depends on. Clients engage SDIF for technical judgment, independent research and execution support.

Advisory and consulting operations are administered separately from SDIF's proprietary investment activities. Client engagements do not involve SDIF managing, holding or investing client assets. Blockchain-related advisory work is Solana-only.

02Engagement types

Seven ways to engage.

Each engagement is scoped individually. The types below are representative of the practice.

A.01

Executive consultation

Direct access to specialized expertise and independent judgment on digital infrastructure, Solana operations and technology strategy — without investment advice or asset management.

  • Structured executive briefings on digital infrastructure decisions
  • Independent second opinions on technical and operational plans
  • Board- and leadership-level preparation for infrastructure initiatives
A.02

Technical advisory assignment

Time-bounded technical advisory for architecture, operations, vendor evaluation and execution planning.

  • Architecture and operating-model review
  • Vendor and service-provider evaluation support
  • Execution planning and technical judgment during implementation
A.03

Comprehensive research project

Commissioned research and independent technical assessments delivered as structured written work product.

  • Executive research memoranda and briefings
  • Technical feasibility reports and architecture evaluations
  • Technical due diligence and ecosystem research
A.04

Solana validator infrastructure assessment

Blockchain advisory work is Solana-only. SDIF advises on the planning, economics and operation of Solana validator infrastructure — not multi-chain or proof-of-work mining.

  • Validator feasibility studies and launch coordination
  • Hardware, hosting and RPC infrastructure planning
  • Operating-cost, commission and delegation modelling
  • Monitoring, incident-response and resilience design
A.05

Data center feasibility engagement

Research and planning support for infrastructure deployment, from site and provider selection to lifecycle and continuity.

  • Data center feasibility, colocation and hosting comparison
  • Power, cooling, connectivity and reliability considerations
  • Server procurement advisory and hardware lifecycle planning
  • Infrastructure cost modelling and continuity architecture
A.06

Corporate technology strategy

Independent analysis for enterprises evaluating blockchain and digital-infrastructure initiatives within a Solana-aware, infrastructure-first frame.

  • Technology modernisation and digital-infrastructure strategy
  • Procurement specifications and vendor evaluation
  • Technical proposal and RFP response support
  • Operational-risk and emerging-technology research
A.07

Ongoing institutional advisory relationship

A retained relationship for institutions that need recurring access to specialized expertise under defined confidentiality and conflict controls.

  • Defined scope and cadence under a written retainer
  • Priority access for qualified follow-on questions
  • Coordination with counsel and other advisers as appropriate

03Engagement models

Hourly, project-based and retainer.

Fees are quoted individually after qualification and set out in a written engagement agreement. Fees are provided privately upon request. SDIF does not publish a public rate card.

  1. 01

    Hourly

Defined consultations and focused sessions for discrete questions, subject to a minimum engagement and written confirmation of scope.

  2. 02

    Project-based

A scoped assignment with agreed deliverables, timeline and fee, set out in a statement of work.

  3. 03

    Retainer

Ongoing access to advisory support across a defined scope over an agreed term.

04Founder-led expertise

Direct access to senior judgment.

Qualified clients may engage SDIF for founder-led advisory through the Office of the Founding Partners.

Founder-led engagements focus on digital-asset infrastructure, Solana staking and validator economics, custody and operational controls, infrastructure strategy and procurement, and technical and commercial due diligence.

Founder participation in any engagement is confirmed expressly in the applicable engagement agreement. No biographies, prior client lists or performance claims are published.

05Confidentiality & engagement controls

Discreet by default.

Client identities, engagement details and work product are treated as confidential. SDIF does not publish client names, case studies or testimonials. Mutual confidentiality terms are available before detailed information is exchanged, and conflicts are reviewed before any engagement is accepted.
